INDUS UNIVERSITY WILL TAKE PART IN USU SUMMER COURSE PROGRAM

On the afternoon of May 29th, a USU delegate headed by Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt (Vice-Rector for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation), Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A (Vice-Rector for Academics, Student, and Alumni Affairs), Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si., M.Si (Vice-Dean for Academics, Students, and Alumni Affairs of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences), and Dr. Rudy Sofyan, S.S., M.Hum (Head of International Affairs Office) along with Indonesian Consul General in Karachi, Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat visited Indus University, in Karachi Pakistan. The Chancellor of Indus University, Mr. Khalid Amin Sheikh, warmly received the delegation, and some university officials attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Khalid Amin first extended a warm welcome to the Indonesian Consul General and his delegation. He briefly introduced the attendees, the school's characteristics, and the primary conditions of foreign cooperation and development strategy and said that the visit of Universitas Sumatera Utara is of great significance to deepen understanding and establish a deeper friendly and cooperative relationship. He hoped the two sides could develop ideas, conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges, and explore innovative, substantive, and win-win cooperation models regarding staff and student exchanges and other scientific research collaborations. Prof. Poppy Hasibuan briefly introduced the history and philosophy of Universitas Sumatera Utara. She said that establishing cooperation between the two institutions aims to serve society and create a safe environment for students to learn and grow. She believes the two universities have common development goals in international education, research, and others. She hopes to actively promote establishing a stable and pragmatic exchange and cooperation between the two universities. To begin with, Dr. Sobia Usman, Assistant Professor of Media Science at Indus University, will be one of the facilitators in the "Social Media Marketing" Summer Course Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, which will be held this coming August 2023.
